It's no secret that evangelism can be tough. We have to deal with our own fears, the possibility of rejection, and the daunting task of reaching out to others in a meaningful way.

Nevertheless, we're called to share the gospel with those around us and spread God's love to all corners of the world. So when you're feeling discouraged or unsure about evangelism, turn to these powerful Bible verses about evangelism for inspiration and guidance.

Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

These verses about evangelism remind us that we are all called to evangelism. As followers of Christ, it is our responsibility to spread the good news and make disciples of all nations. Practically speaking, this means sharing the gospel with those who are in our relational circle, such as friends, family, and coworkers. The good news is that we are not alone in this mission, as Jesus promises to be with us always.

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

We don't carry out evangelism in our own power. If we did, we would certainly fail in our efforts!  All of our evangelism is done through the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who helps us be witnesses for Jesus, wherever we may go. So we don't need to worry about whether our evangelism is "good enough". We can be confident that the Holy Spirit is using it to bring people to God.

Romans 10:14

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

This verse reminds us of the critical importance of evangelism. Apart from the preaching of the gospel, people will not hear about the free gift of salvation offered through Jesus Christ. As Christians, we have a responsibility to share this message with others. We cannot expect people to believe in someone they have never heard of, so we must be willing to open our mouths and spread the good news.

1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.

Although we may feel nervous or unsure about sharing our faith, this evangelism verse reminds us that we should always be prepared to give a reason for the hope that we have in Jesus. This means being knowledgeable about what we believe and why we believe it. At the same time, we must also approach conversations about our faith with gentleness and respect, showing love and grace to those who don't yet believe in Christ.

1 Corinthians 9:22-23

To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.

Our evangelism efforts will inevitably bring us into contact with different backgrounds and worldviews. We're called to adapt and relate to people from all walks of life, just as Paul did in this verse. This may mean sacrificing our personal rights for the sake of the gospel. Our goal should always be to share the gospel with others, regardless of their background or beliefs.

2 Timothy 4:2

Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

The Bible calls us to be ready to share the gospel at all times and in all circumstances. There will be situations that are less than ideal than sharing the gospel, such as when we're tired or uncomfortable. However, we must remember the urgency of spreading the good news and be prepared to do so regardless of our circumstances. Our attitude should also reflect patience and a heart for teaching, rather than simply trying to win an argument or prove someone wrong.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

As Christians, we should never be ashamed of sharing the gospel. It may not be popular or well-received, but it has the power to change lives for eternity. We shouldn't let fear or social pressure silence us from proclaiming the truth of the gospel. Why? Because it's only through the gospel that a person can be saved. It's not just for a specific group of people, but for everyone who believes. We must have a bold and unashamed faith in sharing the gospel with those around us.

Colossians 4:5-6

Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

We are called to be wise in the way we interact with those who don't know Christ. We should have a sense of urgency because life is short and the time to share the gospel is now. Our words should always be gracious, showing love and respect towards others. We must also be intentional about how we communicate the gospel, using wisdom and discernment to know how to best reach each individual.

Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, 'Your God reigns.'

It is a beautiful thing when we share the gospel with others. We are bringing good news to people who desperately need it. It is news of happiness. Why? Because it's the news of salvation through Jesus Christ. When we proclaim the gospel, we are declaring that God reigns over all and that there is hope and peace in Him. Our feet become beautiful as we walk towards those who need to hear this life-changing message.

Ephesians 6:19-20

Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.

Like the Apostle Paul, we should also pray that God would give us boldness and clarity when we speak the gospel. We are His ambassadors, representing Him and His kingdom on earth. As we pray for boldness, let us also pray for open doors and receptive hearts to receive the good news of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 96:3

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

Evangelism is, at its core, declaring the glory of God to those who do not know Him. As Christians, we have the privilege and responsibility to share with others the marvelous works of God and His love for all people. Whether it is through our words or actions, may we constantly be declaring His glory among the nations.

Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

This verse about evangelism reminds us that we are not only called to proclaim Jesus with our words, but also with our deeds. When we serve God and honor His name, we are letting our light shine before others, pointing them to the source of our hope and joy - our Heavenly Father. As we live out our faith in front of others, may they see God's goodness and be drawn to Him.

Acts 8:4

Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.

This was how the early church responded to persecution. They didn't stop preaching the gospel like their enemies wanted. Rather, they evangelized all the more! In the same way, when we experience opposition or difficulties in sharing our faith, let us not be discouraged. Instead, may we continue to boldly proclaim the word of God and trust that He will use even our trials for His glory.

2 Corinthians 5:20

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

This Bible verse about evangelism reminds us that we are ambassadors on behalf of Jesus Christ. In a very real way, God appeals to unbelievers through our preaching of the gospel. May we take this responsibility seriously and be diligent in sharing the good news of salvation with those who do not know Christ.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

This evangelism verse is a powerful reminder that Jesus is the only way to salvation. As we evangelize, let us boldly proclaim that there is no other name or path that can lead us to eternal life except through Jesus Christ. Let this truth motivate us to share the gospel with urgency and compassion for those who have yet to know and accept Him as their Savior.

Matthew 9:37-38

Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'

This is a call to action for us as believers. The harvest, or those who are ready to hear and receive the gospel, is abundant but there are not enough workers to bring it in. Let us pray for more laborers to be sent out into the harvest field and also be willing to step up and share our faith with others. We have a crucial role to play in bringing the lost to Christ.

Acts 17:30

The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

When we evangelize, we must call people to repentance. In other words, we must encourage unbelievers to turn from their sins and believe in Jesus for salvation. This is a vital message that must not be watered down or neglected in our evangelism efforts. May we always present the full truth of the gospel and call people to turn away from their old way of life and turn toward Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:18

For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.

The message of the cross doesn't make sense to the world. The idea that a man died and rose again to save humanity from their sins is foolishness to those who do not believe. But for us who are saved, it is the power of God that brings salvation and transforms our lives. As we share this message with others, let us trust in the power of God's word to bring about transformation in the lives of those who hear.

We switched from a major, web-based ChMS to Breeze and our decision is confirmed every day. We are a medium size church and we use Breeze for contributions, member management, event checkin and a few other applications custom to our church. I had trouble getting any staff to use our previous ChMS but almost all staff are using Breeze. The product is very well designed, extremely easy to learn and use and customer service is incredible.

Breeze has opened the communication highway for our congregation and staff, with very little training. Because members can update their own records and search easily for other members - and map their locations, send emails and text right from Breeze, they love it and our data is more real-time accurate. Our ministries are stronger, because they can trust the data in Breeze, which is easily accessed anywhere, anytime.

Breeze is the first ChMS my volunteers have actually embraced. That's because it's so easy to use. The software is very flexible and gives us the opportunity to make decisions based on actual data we've collected and not just hunches or stories we believe to be true.
