Store Multiple Email Addresses for a Person
We're excited to announce an update allowing churches to easily store multiple email addresses for an individual profile. When that person is emailed through Breeze, the message will be sent to all of their addresses.
Email is a great tool and for many of us, we have multiple email accounts to help keep our lives organized. We might have, for example:
The point is that in many cases, people have multiple addresses in which to be contacted. And while many times people will treat one of these accounts as a "primary" account which they check most often, for some people they might prefer to get important messages delivered to more than one address.
Historically Breeze allowed users to create an additional field to store these addresses which would look something like this:
The challenge comes when this person is part of a group email. The email sent to them will only go to their official "Email" address and the alternate address will be ignored. In many cases this isn't a problem as the person only wants one email. However, if the person wants email delivered to both addresses (or you're not sure which email address is the right one to use), we've updated Breeze to allow for more than one address to be stored within the "Email" field.
To add them in, just separate the addresses by commas when adding them:
Which will then store both email addresses in the official "Email" field:
Now when this person is one of the recipients on a group email, they'll receive the email at each of their addresses listed within the "Email" field.
So if you'd prefer someone to just receive one email at one address, storing any of their additional addresses in an alternate email field would be the best fit. If however you'd prefer them to receive your email at multiple addresses, we hope this update serves you well!
We'd love to show you what we built!
